Velly - Can't Touch Me

Velly has just dropped his brand new track called "Can't Touch Me". Straight from the beginning of the song, Velly says "They say I came too late, but yeah I timed it" this references to people assuming that Velly has shown up late to something, but in Velly's perspective he says that he timed himself to show up later as he was handling something else. In Velly's first verse he says "If you know we ain't cool, then lets not pretend" this refers to people who have beef with Velly not to act all friendly to him and pretend like they are cool, but Velly wants them to act as they do normally, not acting like they are cool with Velly when they in-fact have beef with him. The very first lyric from Velly's second verse is "I remember when I was young I was told, people said that everything that glitters ain't gold, it could be garbage for all you know" this refers to just because something looks fancy and worth a lot, doesn't mean anything, the object could be stolen, fake or just general rubbish and not worth it. Velly then says "only God can judge me" and this is very true in my opinion, no-one is able to judge you, only God because no-one knows what you are going through / have gone through, and so therefore only God can judge you on what you have done.

The music starts off paced and has a fast-feeling melody to it. As soon as Velly starts rapping, the music becomes much more energetic with a hard drop and the drums making a very large impact compared to the beginning, making the rhythm seem much faster and more powerful. The combination of the piano, drums, hi-hats and effects mix together to make an insane melody in the background of Velly. During the chorus there is a flute effect noise which is different to anything I have ever heard, the sound makes an insane melody to mix with the lyrics and forms an incredibly unique chorus that uses so much energy.

The music video that was created by 'Pacman TV Film' uses incredible drone shots of the city, the handheld shots are very steady. In the beginning shot we see the camera track along with Velley and the shot remains steady and focused on Velly, making the scene look much more professional. There are also some black flickers that are used to make the video feel and look more up-beat, there are also a variety of wide and close up shots that are used in the music video, creating a contrast between the clips.
