Tash - Wish

Tash has just dropped his brand new track called 'Wish'. In the first verse of the song, Tash says "I'm getting paid, n*ggas ain't, so they hate on us" this refers to Tash being paid and the people around him are not making as much money as Tash, and so simply due to the fact that Tash is making more money then the people around him, they start to dislike Tash and show hatred towards him. Also in the first verse, Tash mentions "Them man switch sides, how could I rate them punks" referring that the people that Tash know are known for playing both sides and not staying loyal to one cause and constantly switching from one side to another, showing no loyalty or heart to their "homeside". Tash also says "I'm blowing up, I bet they wish that they stayed in touch" showing us that Tash knows his rap career is becoming more and more successful by each new track he drops, and telling the people that cut him off earlier, that they should have stayed with Tash because they would have been with him on his journey to success. In the second verse, Tash says "It's funny when I see them, but I shouldn't laugh, cos it was just the other day that I couldn't laugh" what Tash is trying to refer to here, is that he shouldn't be laughing at them, because it wasn't that long ago that Tash was just like them. Tash also says "still remember when the Corsa needed push to start" showing that he remembers the guys who helped him when he needed help and remembers the darker times and how much he has progressed.

The music starts off calm and steady paced with the introduction of the chorus. At the impact of the chorus, there is a dirty bass drop and incredible remix of piano keys. During the first verse you can feel the hi-hats emphasise the bass on-top of the lyrics. The remix of piano keys recurs throughout the music, creating an intense and creative melody throughout the track. During the chorus the bass is used more to create a faster paced rhythm.

The music video uses a variety of different shows to show creativity and diversity to other visual artists, for example, we see use of: close up shots, tracking shots, slo-motion cutaway shots and wide angle shots. During the video there is also the use of black transition fade-away shots to soften the impact of a cut to show a slower paced movement to the video. However, during the video there is also the use of a strobe effect on the bass of the melody to make the video flow consistently with the rhythm and seem faster paced.
