Kwenga - Couldn't Care

Kwenga has just dropped his brand new track called 'Couldn't Care'. In the initial chorus of the track Kwenga says "My haters always got sh*t to say, you get paid, ok" referring to us that the people who don't like and appreciate Kwenga always come up with something stupid and random to say, and they are always shouting out that they get paid, Kwenga just says ok to it because he doesn't feel the need to waste his energy or time on the haters, he makes money too but he doesn't feel the need to keep shouting it out to his haters. In the first verse, Kwenga says "Pull up in a car looking out of this world, you should've seen my haters girl" referring to us that when Kwenga arrived in his brand new car that looked insane, the girl that was with Kwenga's haters took one look at his car and her face probably dropped and saw Kwenga in a whole different light (surprisingly). Kwenga then mentions "I asked her what do you bring to the table, apart from stressing those tight up jeans" telling us that when this girl was talking to Kwenga on the line, Kwenga decided to ask her what she would be prepared to do and what she would bring that is new for Kwenga (apart from the tight jeans that she wears). In the second verse, Kwenga says "My baby more mad that I'm always out, if I pull up she forget what she mad about" referring to us that Kwenga's girlfriend is always angry that Kwenga is out all of the time and whenever Kwenga arrives back home, she always forgets about everything she was mad about because she is really happy to see him and gets excited when he comes back. Kwenga then says "Young n*gga shining, no doubt" referring to us that he is young and he is already standing out from the crowd, by the way he dresses, what he does and how he works he shines out compared to others.

The music begins slow paced and slowly builds up anticipation to the initial chorus with the use of sound effects and a melody that begins to get faster paced. On the drop of the chorus, the bass hits hard with the sound effects and the hi-hats, shortly after the first verse begins, the rhythm picks up the pace again, to create a much faster-flowing beat behind the lyrics, the hi-hats, bass and the sound effects combined together make the lyrics appear and sound powerful. During the chorus the volume picks up with the beat change, new sound effects and a slower melody combine to create a deeper vibe. During the second verse the rhythm changes again, this time then drums and hi-hats appear to be on the front line to show more power to the verse.

The music video directed by 'Durz' is unlike any music video I have seen before, the concept of using a lake and a pedal-boat gives off a relaxing and calm vibe. Whilst showing Kwenga's boys all around him at the same time. At 1:30 the beat is cut off because the energy and vibes from the boys in the video was perfect and were rapping along to the lyrics perfectly. The video also shows some close up shots of some of the boys around, showing the audience that Kwenga is never alone and always has someone around with him. In the video we can see a variety of different shots used; close up shots, wide angle shots, medium shots, slo-motion shots and many more, this shows diversity and creativity amongst other music videos.
