Jukkie - Addiction

Jukkie has just dropped his brand new track called 'Addiction'. In the chorus of the song Jukkie says "I would've thought I was a billionaire already" this reference tells us that the way Jukkie is living at the moment, and the way he is enjoying life, anyone would think or assume that he was a billionaire, and by the way he acts. In the first verse, Jukkie says "I can't even tell the difference, whether these n*ggas real or not, so I move in tunnel vision" this refers that Jukkie cannot tell whether the people who are hanging around him are set to help him reach what he wants or are just there to leech off his success, the reference to tunnel vision is that he looks forward to one goal and one way, he doesn't see anything or anyone that is beside him, only the goal he is trying to reach. In Jukkie's second verse he says "no new n*ggas, my circle's the same" this shows that Jukkie does not mess with other people, and stays with who he has grown with, the people he can trust and depend on, rather than risk inviting new people in, who might not be real. Also in the chorus, Jukkie says "same sh*t, different day" showing that although everyday is different, Jukkie sticks to his grind and continues to do what he has been doing, everyday.

The music produced by 'shazonetape' uses a slow and steady pace to begin with. As the drums are introduced in the chorus, the pace of the rhythm is drastically sped up and creates a more energetic feel to the movement of the melody. The bass that is used throughout the track is hard and actively used throughout. The hi-hats create a more paced feel to the rhythm and soften the sound of the bass and drums. The piano used is powerful in some sequences throughout the track and adds a unique feel to the verses.

The music video that was directed by 'shazoneway' uses a wide variety of shots, close up shots, medium shots, tracking shots and wide-angle shots. There is also the use of slo-motion cutaway clips that tell a narrative to the video. There is the use of black faded out transitions that soften the impact of the cut on beat to make a more smooth-flowing video in some sequences.
