JAY1 - Sweet One
Jay1 has just dropped his brand new track called 'Sweet One' after hearing the track for the first time, you can instantly tell the song is dedicated to the special girl in his life that he refers to his 'sweet one'. In Jay1's chorus he says "I was chilling with some fakes, I had to leave some" referring that Jay1 was at one point roaming around with people who were not real to his ambitions or didn't believe in him as his real ones should do, so he left them as they were not worth it. In Jay1's first verse he says "don't worry about these other girls close to me, straight pick up, pick up when you're phoning me" this tells us that although Jay1 may still hang around with other girls, his attention is still fully on his 'sweet one' and her only, and whenever she calls him, he will pick up the phone instantly, where-ever he is or during whatever he is doing. Jay1 also mentions "I know you feel some type of way when I just look in your eyes" this refers that whenever Jay1 looks into her eyes, he knows that she starts to feel something special between them two and something that she cannot feel with anyone else. In Jay1's following verse he says "all them baby-boys are foolish, they ain't my bae" showing that Jay1 makes it very clear that no other boy will be touching his 'sweet one' and he is the only one that can touch her and make her feel happy, because he is number 1 with her and no-one can challenge his position. In the chorus of the song, Jay1 says "your're my sugar, sugar no hooker, hooker" referring that his girl is his sweetness and he doesn't need any other girl, especially not a hooker to turn his head / make him even consider comparing another girl to his 'sweet one'. Also in the chorus, Jay1 says "You're a sweet one, and I always move correctly when I see one" referring that whenever he see's a girl that is sweet and beautiful, he will always do the right kind of things, rather than act stupid and try to be someone he is not.

The music video that was directed by 'KIRX' shows the relationship between the two throughout the video. There are also a variety of different shots used in the music video, for example, wide angle shots, medium shots and slo-motion cutaway shots. The narrative of the video is given to the audience through the couple's actions, for example, we see Jay1 feeding his girl some candy floss, this shot really emphasises' that the two are close to each other and have trust in each other. Some shots also use a shaky-hand held effect to show the movement of the music and to flow along with it.
