Jay Rico - Jump On My Wave
Jay Rico has just dropped his brand new track called 'Jump On My Wave'. In the first verse of the track, Jay says "Man I know she the baddest, got a body like RiRi" meaning that the girl that Jay Rico is referring too, has a body just like Rihanna (curved and smooth). Also in the first verse Jay says "I ain't saying that you're easy, but let me work my magic baby I can be a genie" referring that when Jay refers to the girl, he isn't saying that she is easy to catch, but is saying that she should let him try because sometimes Jay can prove himself to be more than what people think. Jay also mentions "Take your over seas, somewhere we can watch the sunset" telling us that Jay wants to take her away from where they are currently living and take her somewhere abroad so that they can watch the relaxing sunset falling with peace at mind. Jay later mentions "I know she ain't faking, she was by my side before I was on the playlist" this is referring to how Jay thinks she feels towards him, he knows that she isn't pretending to care about him, because she has been there for him for a long time, even before his rap career had begun, showing that she is in it for the long haul. The song is dedicated to this girl that Jay clearly has a lot of feeling towards and raps about what he wants to do with her, and how their journey has been so far together.

The music begins off clam and slowly paced, as the chorus hits, the bass also hits hard to create a powerful impact for the chorus to follow along too. After the initial bass drop has been dropped, the rhythm becomes much more upbeat and energetic. During the first verse the pace of the melody drops down so that the lyrics can be slower and more paced. Half-way through the verse, there are sound effects that are used to create an insane combination, also throughout the first half of the verse, there is a lot of anticipation used, as there is simply the bass used, you automatically are ready and waiting for the next bass to drop.
The music video that was shot by '1time_productions' use a wide variety of different angled shots to show a diverse range of creativity throughout the video, there are: wide angle shots, medium shots, and tilting shots. The music video was directed and edited by 'ellisking'. The video uses a genius idea to introduce the video with a video game and then continue the music video by entering the TV screen, the idea of walking onto a professional shoot with dancers and LED lights is a very unique and creative aspect to this video and the editing was on point, with the use of cuts being fast to make the video more upbeat and fast paced.
