Deep Green - Hurricane Harvey

Deep Green has just released his brand new track called 'Hurricane Harvey'. In Deep Green's first verse he says "all I need is some good luck" this refers to Deep Green having all the skill that he needs and the only thing that he needs is some good luck to match with his skill. Deep Green also mentions "what you talkin' bout party" this refers to us that Deep Green has been putting in the work and has been dedicating so much of his time to working and keeping to his grind that he hasn't had any time for parties and hasn't considered them. In Deep Green's second verse he says "my yg came with the move, I ain't got no time to change my shoes" showing that his younger mate hit up Deep Green and he had no time to even think about anything and was instantly out to his younger mate, showing true loyalty. Deep Green also says "these n*ggas know me, I'm a go-getter" this refers to if Deep Green see's something that he wants, he won't just sit there and do nothing about it, he will grind and put in that work to get what he wants. In Deep Green's final verse he says "look at my teeth, that's a frostbite" referring to his diamond & gold plated teeth, showing us his cold combination of jewellery that hang from within his jaw.

The music that was produced by 'Distinxt productions' starts off with a slow and steady pace with the rhythm. The piano softens the entrance for a faster and more up-beat melody to kick in and begin. On the drop of the song there is a hard bass that brings a powerful energy to the track. The hi-hats mixed with the bass and the lyrics combine to make a unique and bouncy feel to the chorus. During the first verse there is a sequence where the piano is the only instrument being played, during this part, you feel like something powerful is about to happen with the rhythm and melody.

The music video that was directed by 'supreme' uses a unique effect that I rarely see in music videos, a retro television effect at the beginning featuring Hurricane Harvey to begin the music video, this implies the message that the track is going to be powerful and hard-hitting. There are some very creative places where some incredible transitions are placed to make the video seem more up-beat and fast-paced. The video also feels more up-beat as there are constant cuts to show a more paced feel to the video.
